In Georgia clay, water doesn’t soak in — it runs, and it finds the low spot. Standing water against a foundation, a yard that stays soggy, erosion cutting under a driveway, water pooling under a deck: these are drainage problems first and concrete problems second. Fix the water, and the concrete lasts.

We install French drains and catch basins, buried downspout and gutter extensions, under-deck drainage systems, concrete swales and channel drains, and we regrade yards and slopes so water moves away from the house. Drainage is built into every wall and slab we pour — perforated pipe and gravel behind retaining walls, slope on every pad.

How we do it: walk the property in the direction water moves, find the outlet, then trench, pipe and gravel to carry water there. Grading is done with compacted fill, not loose dirt, and finished so it holds. We clean up and restore the surface when we’re done.
